On the occasion of the reopening of the renovated and expanded Paleis Het Loo in 2022, the Municipality of Apeldoorn asked studio VOLLAERSZWART to design a citydressing for Apeldoorn.
Inspired by the richly curled baroque shapes in the gardens of Paleis Het Loo, studio VOLLAERSZWART designed large golden ornaments for 210 trees on the Loolaan: BIG BIJOUX. In addition to the jewelry on the trees, a golden virus of baroque decorations was continued on store windows and buildings in the rest of the city

After the Citydressing project BIG BIJOUX, ACEC asked us to create an indoor installation.
On a hundred pink fluorescent canvases, we composed a 35-metre-long minimal baroque artwork with the gold leftovers from the outdoor project.
